
John Miles (2017)
British singer and musician John Miles has died aged 72. He is best known for his hit song music. Miles died after a short illness from the effects of cancer.
Miles’ first album Rebel immediately delivered the world hit in 1976 music on. The almost six-minute song with many tempo changes was a declaration of love to the music, with the famous phrase Music was my first love, and it will be my last. Miles said he had written the song in half an hour.
It remained by far his greatest success, although he had a few minor hits in the United States and the United Kingdom. Later in his career, Miles became Tina Turner’s regular guitarist and toured with artists such as Joe Cocker and Stevie Wonder.

The first edition was in Antwerp in 1985, after which the event expanded to several countries. Miles himself played almost every year on The Night at The Proms, also in the Netherlands.
