Throwing a children’s party with the theme “pirates” is always popular. Including a pirate treasure chest, pirate drinking, pirate hats and eye patches and of course pirate games.
You no longer have to leave the house for a successful children’s party. You can celebrate this party very well at home. The children have a very successful afternoon and you keep the costs under control.
Invitations
A pirate party can only start if invitations have been sent. You can send the invitations with, for example, a message in a bottle or in the form of a treasure map. Ask in the invitation if the children would like to come dressed as a pirate.
Preparations for a pirate party
A pirate party includes:
- large pirate treasure chest
- pirate drinking
- pirate placemats
- pirate hats
- pirate eye patches
- pirate chips
- little pirate treasure chests
- balloons
- pirate games
Pirate drinking and pirate chips
For pirate drinking you can get small packages of Yogi drink, for example. Then print a pirate picture and stick it on the drink packages. You also do the same with small bags of chips. For example, a normal packet of drinking and an ordinary bag of chips suddenly becomes pirate drinking and pirate chips.
Pirate hats and pirate eye patches
You can choose to make the pirate hats and pirate eye patches yourself. If you choose this, you can ask in the fabric store for red stretch fabric for the pirate hat and black non-stretch fabric for the eye patch. Don’t forget that elastic is also included with the eye patch. There is also the possibility to buy or order these articles ready-made, for example in a party shop. You can also get second-hand items via the Internet.
Pirate placemats and pirate diploma
For the pirate placemats, print a pirate coloring page on sturdy paper. The pirate diploma can be found on the Internet in all shapes and sizes. You can then enter the name of the pirate, the date and the pirate’s nest yourself.
Balloons
Before you inflate or inflate the balloons, print numbers based on the amount of games.
In each balloon you place a number after which you can inflate or inflate the balloons. You hang the balloons in a bunch, for example on the door handle or lamp.
Pirate games
- There is a balloon for each pirate that he or his piece can pierce. The number drops out and the game can begin.
- Fill the large pirate treasure chest with the pirate hats and pirate eye patches in advance. The treasure chest is hidden and the search can begin. You can give directions by shouting hot or cold.
- The pirate puzzle can be made from a treasure map. Cut these into pieces and start puzzling.
- The treasure chest is filled again, but this time with the pirate chips. The children can search again.
- As a last game you can do the pirate placemats about half an hour before eating. Let the children color their placemat themselves. This way you prevent it from being restless (while you are cooking) and the children are seated directly at the table.
End of the pirate party
At the end of the pirate party, the pirates will receive their pirate diploma. They can take the placemats and pirate hat with the eye patch home. You can still nicely pack sweets in a small pirate treasure box.
