A nice piece of frozen banana with a coating of crunchy chocolate. Easy to make and great fun for the kids! You can use all kinds of chocolate for it.
Ingredients
- 4 small firm ripe bananas
- 175 grams chocolate in pieces (milk, white or dark)
- 6 tablespoons of whipped cream
- 4 tablespoons of orange juice
Preparation
Place the unpeeled bananas in the freezer for about 2 hours. Put the chocolate, whipped cream and orange juice in a pan and heat it. Stir the mixture from time to time and make sure that the chocolate melts so that a smooth mixture is formed. Put the mixture in a cold bowl and let it cool. Make sure it doesn’t get too cold, otherwise you won’t be able to cover the bananas properly.
Remove the bananas from the freezer and peel them. Carefully place them in the mixture one by one. When they are nicely covered with a layer of chocolate, take them out with the help of one or two skewers. Let them drain over the bowl for a while, so you don’t spill. Then put them on greaseproof paper and let the chocolate harden. You can then cut the bananas into pieces as big as you like, then put them in the freezer until ready to serve.
