ROC Mondriaan in The Hague
The internet criminals who broke into ROC Mondriaan have put stolen data from the institution online. The educational institution confirms this.
The tutorial group did not want to pay. As revenge, the data has been put online; ransomware attackers do that more often to put extra pressure.
Data that has been seen by the NOS shows that it concerns all kinds of internal documents, including data about teachers and students. Although ROC Mondriaan acknowledges that documents have been put online, it cannot confirm the authenticity of the files.
Substantial amount
It is not known how much money the attackers wanted, but according to a spokesperson for the education group it is a “substantial amount”.
Education is now in full swing, despite the attack, the spokesperson said. “In the beginning, some education here and there was somewhat analogous, but that too has now been resolved.”
