Healthy breakfasts: four recipe ideas
Breakfast is important for a good start to your day. It is therefore wise to start every day with a healthy breakfast. Chances are that your breakfast consists of a bowl of yogurt with muesli or cornflakes with milk. Or you start the day with a sandwich and fruit. All delicious things to start the day with, but not really that special. Especially on weekends it is sometimes nice to start your day with a special breakfast. So try one of the four recipes below.
Scrambled egg with smoked salmon, asparagus and goat cheese
This delicious breakfast is full of healthy fats and proteins. Eggs, for example, contain a whole range of vitamins and minerals, including iron, calcium, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12 and E. Smoked salmon, like other types of fish, contains the healthy omega-3 fatty acids. It is not for nothing that it is recommended to eat fish at least once or twice a week. Asparagus contains few calories, but a lot of calcium, iron and vitamin C. Goat cheese contains a lot of protein. Do get the least fatty variety of goat cheese and do not use too much of it.
Low-fat yogurt with strawberries and muesli
This healthy breakfast is low in fat and high in vitamins. For example, low-fat yogurt does not contain any fat, but it does contain calcium and vitamin B12. Strawberries are especially healthy due to the high vitamin C content they contain. In addition, they also contain very few carbohydrates, so they are certainly not fattening. They are sweet and mild in taste and therefore also very tasty. A good muesli contains many grains, nuts and dried fruits. This is good for digestion.
Omelette with spinach and tomatoes
This healthy omelet contains a lot of vitamins and iron. You can already read above that eggs contain many vitamins and minerals. Spinach is known for having a high iron content. In addition, spinach is also rich in vitamin E and has a high content of health-promoting substances, such as carotene and antioxidants. Finally, spinach contains very few calories. Tomatoes contain vitamin C, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium.
Strawberry, banana and blueberry smoothie
This breakfast smoothie contains a lot of vitamin C and fiber. Bananas are high in protein, iron and fiber and very little fat. In addition, bananas are especially healthy due to the amount of vitamin C, potassium and magnesium in them. Strawberries also contain a very high vitamin C content. Unlike bananas, strawberries are also very low in carbohydrates. You will therefore certainly not get fat from strawberries. Blueberries also contain a lot of vitamin C. In addition, they also have a high content of health-promoting substances, the so-called antioxidants.
Healthy yet special
As you have just read, it is possible: prepare a healthy and yet special breakfast. You just have to think about it when you are in the supermarket. Especially on weekends it is nice to prepare something special every now and then. After all, that yogurt with muesli will eventually get boring. All special and healthy breakfasts are also very easy to make and you need no more than four ingredients per breakfast.
