This year’s Gouden Ganzenveer goes to literary critic and author Margot Dijkgraaf. She is awarded the prize for her role as “sensitive and erudite ambassador of the arts.” She is also praised for bringing Dutch-language authors to the attention of France and other European countries.
Dijkgraaf also writes a lot about French-language literature, including in NRC. For that reason she has received several awards in France.
Former minister and chairman of the Academy De Gouden Ganzenveer Bussemaker announced the winner in the program The Language State on NPO Radio 1. The award ceremony is on September 20 in Amsterdam.
The Gouden Ganzenveer is an annual prize. With this award, the Academy wants to draw attention to the written and printed word in the Dutch language area.
Last year, writer Abdelkader Benali won. For this De Gouden Ganzenveer went to Arnon Grunberg, Joost Zwagerman, Joke van Leeuwen and Geert Mak, among others.
