Apple pie is an often-bought treat for many and a regular homemade treat for many others. But for singles, who also want to enjoy a piece of apple pie on their own, or who only expect few visitors, baking or buying an apple pie is a problem if the baker does not sell individual slices. After the feast, together with the visit, there is often a lot left. To be able to enjoy apple pie, a recipe for a small pie is useful. If it also contains few calories, that is also a nice bonus.

Admittedly, it is nice to only eat the remaining pieces, but oh dear those calories. In any case, those calories are sometimes a critical point in determining what the visit will be spoiled with. Well, that’s why this recipe and preparation method for only a small amount of apple pie with as few calories as possible.

- 3 to 4 spoons of apple pie flour
- 1 ½ cm margarine (warm)
- 1 egg
- 1 apple (12 slices)
- Springform tin of 15 cm

No added sugar
To make it easy, use Koopmans apple pie for the bottom. No more sugar is needed and that immediately saves calories. Depending on your wish for a thin or thicker bottom, the number of spoons can be adjusted.
Treat like cake batter
Baking with butter is often very tasty, but again those calories. It is therefore better to choose a margarine product that is less harmful to the line. And one and a half centimeters from such a package is really enough. To make mixing easier, the margarine can be heated up in the microwave for a while. Together with one egg, the margarine provides enough moisture to mix the flour into a smooth mass. Treat the dough like a cake batter, so don’t knead it. After a few minutes of mixing it can easily be spread over the bottom.
Easy with aluminum foil
It is best to cover the bottom first with aluminum foil that does not need to be smeared with butter (also makes a difference). After baking, the pastry can easily be released from the mold. Wait a moment for the pastry to cool, then cut the edge off, open the spring form, turn the pastry over and carefully pull the aluminum foil off.
Apple slices overlapping
One large apple is enough to cover the pastry base when after peeling, coring and quarters, twelve slices are finally cut. You can also experiment with, for example, thicker slices of two apples. Place the slices overlapping on the pastry base.
Temperature and time
Baking at 180 degrees and for 35 minutes is just a starting point. After all, one oven is not the other. It is a matter of trying out whether the oven should be a little hotter or less hot and it is important to check in time whether the apple slices do not turn black.
Within an hour
A little handy kitchen prince or kitchen princess will have an apple pie ready within an hour with this preparation method. Even unexpectedly announced visitors, if they are not immediately on the doorstep, can feast within that time when the cake is served warm. The condition is that the ingredients are in house.
Tasty
Big eaters eventually eat half a cake, but that is precisely not the intention of this recipe and preparation method. A shape of 15 centimeters provides three nice points and can even be quartered. Then with the second cup of coffee or tea, at least a delicious chocolate can caress the tongue without objection that not enough attention has been paid to the line.
