Meatloaf
For 4 persons
Ingredients
- 1kg mixed minced meat
- butter
- 1 large onion
- 1 clove of garlic / garlic herbs
- pepper
- salt
Preparation
Heat the oven to 170 °. Finely chop the onion and possibly the garlic clove. Heat the butter in the pan and fry the onion and garlic clove until done. Add it all to the minced meat, season with salt and pepper. Mix well! Then form a solid sphere. Place these in an oven dish and let it bake for 40 minutes.
Tip: You can also add a red pepper to the whole. Cook this with the onion and also add it to the minced meat.
bird’s Nest
For 4 persons
Ingredients
- 500g mixed minced meat
- 4 eggs
- butter
- bread-crumbs
- pepper
- salt
Preparation
Heat the oven to 170 °. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes so that they are hard-boiled. Peel them. Season the minced meat with salt and pepper. Take 1/4 of the ground beef, put the hard-boiled egg on top and turn the ground beef around. Make sure you have a nice ball, so that the egg is no longer visible. Repeat with the rest of the ground beef and eggs. Roll the balls through the breadcrumbs.
Heat the butter in the pan and brown the bird’s nests. Cook in the oven for 40 minutes.
Minced meat dish with broccoli
For 4 persons
Ingredients
- 750g mixed minced meat
- 750g potatoes
- 1 broccoli
- 300g gratin cheese
- salt
bechamel
- 50g butter
- 50g flour
- 6dl milk
- cayenne pepper
- (fresh) nutmeg
Preparation
Heat the oven to 180 °. Peel the potatoes into slices and cook them al dente with a little salt. Cut the broccoli into florets and cook them al dente. Drain both and let everything drain well. Heat the butter in the pan and fry the minced meat.
bechamel
Melt the butter over medium heat until frothy. Make sure it does not turn brown! Add the flour while stirring and let it boil. Also add the milk while stirring. Let the sauce boil for a few more minutes to thicken, season with the pepper and nutmeg.
Arrange everything in a baking dish, starting with the ground beef. Place the potatoes on top, followed by the broccoli. Then pour the béchamel sauce over it and finish with the gratin cheese. Place the casserole in the oven. Bake for 15 minutes if it is still warm. If it has already cooled down, let it bake for 45 minutes.
Tip: Instead of broccoli, you can also use cauliflower in the oven dish.
