Today cars have very modern and very useful specifications. These specifications provide more convenience and safety in the car. Specializations such as climate control, ABS and cruise control make driving a lot more pleasant and provide more safety.
Climate control
The climate control, or climate control, is an improvement of the air conditioning in cars. Climate control was previously widely used to heat or cool offices and factories. Today some cars also have an improved air conditioning system. This system consists of several fans within the car. They ensure that you do not suffer from drafts and circulate the air throughout the car. In addition, the fans purify the air of soot particles and other dirt from the air. This is how cleaner air enters the car. You can set which climate, so which temperature, you want inside your car. The climate control equipment ensures that this climate is maintained until you change it. You can also set it to manage the climate of different zones within your car, for example in the front and rear! This system is nowadays mainly found in the newer, more luxurious cars.
ABS
ABS is short for anti-lock braking system and ensures that the motorist can brake safely. ABS ensures that wheels do not lock when braking, which was often the case in the past. Locking the wheels makes a car uncontrollable and can cause major accidents. Thanks to the ABS you can continue to steer and you can, for example, quickly make an emergency stop or easily brake in tight bends. ABS generally also ensures that you have a shorter braking distance, this is only possible if the driver presses the brake pedal firmly and completely. The ABS works electronically and measures the braking force. If the braking force is so high that blocking is imminent, the ABS will reduce the braking force. The braking continues and the ABS takes over the braking again when the braking force leads to a blockage again. This is also called pumping braking. ABS is present in most cars nowadays and improves safety in the car.
Cruise control
A practical and beautiful invention in the automotive world is the cruise control, or the speed controller. The cruise control ensures that a certain speed is maintained, for example 120 km / h on the highway. To use the cruise control you must first switch it on, then you can set a certain speed at which the car will continue to drive. This way you can drive up to the desired speed yourself, if the cruise control is on you can then press +. This keeps the car driving at the speed you chose when you pressed +. If you want to drive faster now, you can accelerate, but you can also press plus once. The car usually speeds up to three kilometers per hour. So if you press minus it is three kilometers per hour softer. If you have the cruise control on and accelerate to overtake, for example, the cruise control will go back to the last set speed when you let go. The cruise control stops working when you press the brake, press 0 or switch off the cruise control. To get to the old speed of the cruise control, you can often press the resume button. The speed of the cruise control is constant and therefore works fine in traffic.
Parking sensors
Built-in sensors at the rear and sometimes even on the side of the car ensure that you can park or reverse safely. The sensors in our cars are distance sensors which determine the distance between the car and an object. Depending on this distance, a beep will start to sound in the car. This tone is getting louder and will beep more and more in succession as your car gets closer to an object. This way you can no longer overlook posts or bushes that are not visible in the mirrors and you prevent a lot of damage.
Power steering
Most cars now have power steering in the steering wheel. This is an electronic operating mechanism in the car’s steering system. This mechanism is connected to the wheels and ensures that the driver has to exert much less force when steering. In some cars it is even the case that the power of the steering wheel increases as the car goes faster. This is safer and steering becomes even easier for the driver. It’s for the driver
less tiring and is therefore a real improvement in our cars.
