We know that fresh salads are delicious in the summer. Easily digestible and packed with vitamins. But in the autumn those vitamins are just as badly needed and we can also combine some more solid salads with a (warm) meal. Look at what you want to put in the salad, but be careful with flavors that are too prominent in the salad. It can then become too predominant and certain flavors can mix.
In principle, the salad can always be made lighter, for example before exercising. Ideal for getting healthy food, but not a heavy meal that can prevent active sports.
A salad made with some pasta and meat or fish can even make a complete meal. The following recipe meets these requirements:
- Curly lettuce
- Fish (cooked tuna, fresh shrimps, smoked eel, crayfish)
- Olive oil
- Pasta (popularly called the ‘butterflies’ or ‘wokkels’)
- Tomato ketchup
- Cherry tomatoes
You can make the salad as extensive (or not) as you want. Start by cooking the pasta and allowing it to cool. Then prepare the salad and start washing the lettuce and make the lettuce small (not too small pieces), pour some olive oil over it and mix well.
Then add the fish (ready-made from the store or prepared yourself) and mix it with the salad. Halve the sherry tomatoes and olives and add them in numbers as desired. Finally, stir in a little tomato ketchup for some extra flavor.
As a side dish
If you want the simple salad as a side dish, always take something lighter? products for the salad, namely
- Lamb’s lettuce
- Cherry tomatoes
- Silverskin onions
- Wine vinegar
- Mini pickles
Eggs must be boiled hard. Then clean and cut the lettuce and cut the ingredients such as cherry tomatoes and mini pickles in half or make a little smaller and add. Then add the pearl onions and celery and mix well. Then pour a dash of wine vinegar over it. Finally, cut the hard-boiled eggs into cubes and place them over the salad. Ready to serve with meals.
