The list of artists who will be performing at Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday is growing by the day. Now Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters and John Legend have also been added to the line-up of the special program that will be broadcast around the inauguration.
The US Inauguration Committee also announced that actresses Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington will be presenting part of the program. Yesterday it was already known that Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi and Demi Lovato will perform.
Lady Gaga will sing the American national anthem during the inauguration of Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Singer Jennifer Lopez then gives a performance on the west side of the Capitol.
New national journey
Biden sees the inauguration as “the beginning of a new national journey, one that will restore America’s soul and bring Americans together.” More names of artists are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The ceremony will also be attended by former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. Outgoing President Donald Trump is absent, Vice President Mike Pence is present.
