The Public Prosecution Service suspects rapper Lil Kleine of attempted serious assault or assault. The rapper, whose real name is Jorik Scholten, was arrested on Sunday evening after a report of assault.

The rapper’s management, NAMAM, said in a response that it was “shocked by what has happened”. The management agency says it is considering the collaboration with the rapper. “Should we continue to represent him as an artist, we will attach strict conditions to this.” NAMAM does not want to make any statements about what these conditions are. “That touches on Jorik Scholten’s private life.”
Wax image removed
Madame Tussauds has removed the image of the rapper that was in Amsterdam. The museum previously removed the statue of Marco Borsato. He is accused of sexually transgressive behaviour.
Streaming service Spotify already removed songs by Lil Kleine from all playlists composed by the editors of the company itself. The music of the singer can still be heard on the music platform.
radio station FunX is not playing the rapper’s music for the time being. “Once again, news about an artist causes strong reactions among our audience. That is why we have decided, in consultation with the broadcasters, not to include Lil Kleine’s music in the playlists of NPO FunX for the time being,” said a spokesperson yesterday.
Abuse in 2019
The rapper was sentenced to 120 hours of community service last week. The judge considered it proven that he assaulted a 28-year-old visitor to club Oliva on the Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam in 2019.
Last May he spent a night in a Spanish cell. His girlfriend Vaes had filed a complaint against him, because she was allegedly beaten by him in the night from Saturday to Sunday in Ibiza. That case was dropped.
