A smoothie is a drink that you can easily make at home in a blender. It is healthy and you choose how much and what you put in it. A smoothie with fruit is a convenient way to get your daily amount of fruit. They are packed with vitamin C and fiber. And strawberries are low in calories: 100 grams of strawberries contain 23 calories. In addition, a strawberry contains iron, calcium, vitamins B1 and B2. A banana contains a lot of potassium. Potassium provides the nervous system and the proper functioning of muscles. You can use extra potassium for a lot of fluid loss, for example during sports and for good blood pressure. A banana contains about 86 calories.
The basis of a smoothie is milk or yogurt. Choose semi-skimmed milk or low-fat yogurt as a healthy option. Fruit smoothies are tasty, but you can also use vegetables. Spinach, for example. - 15 to 20 small strawberries
- half banana

Strawberry and banana smoothie for 1 person
Start with the strawberries. Wash the strawberries with water and then remove the (green) crowns. For a large glass of 200 ml you need 15 to 20 small strawberries. Halve the strawberries to speed up the blending process. You can cut large strawberries into quarters. Then you grab a banana. The best thing is to take a slightly riper banana. That gives a better taste and blend nicely. You can choose to put a whole or half banana in your smoothie. Half a banana is sufficient for 1 glass of 200 ml. Once you have cut the banana into small pieces, you can add milk or yogurt. Semi-skimmed milk or low-fat yogurt is a responsible choice, but you can determine which type you use with the content of your refrigerator.
Put the fruit in the blender or measuring cup if you are using a hand blender. Then add 200 ml of milk or yogurt of your choice. Blend everything for about a minute into a nice smoothie. If you like a smooth substance, it is advisable to blend a little longer. Pour the smoothie into a glass or cup and enjoy!
