He forms a duo with Fidan Ekiz, who will work as a freelancer for WNL. She was previously employed by BNNVARA. Both presented On 1 before: Kockelmann did that a number of times with Talitha Muusse, Ekiz with Jeroen Pauw.
Ekiz (44) was previously with Renze Klamer presenter of Eve. BNNVARA decided last summer not to continue with that program and to replace it with Khalid & Sophie. Since then, Ekiz has not been seen or heard from.

Enthusiastic
Prior to his radio broadcast today, Kockelmann said it was not an easy decision after such a long tenure. “WNL’s plans and ambitions in journalism, politics and economics are so exciting for me that I have decided to switch.” He starts there on December 1.
Kockelmann emphasized that he will remain with the public broadcaster. “Nothing changes about this face and this body”, he said jokingly:
WNL editor-in-chief Bert Huisjes calls the arrival of Kockelmann “a wonderful reinforcement”. According to him, it fits in with the ambition to continue to expand WNL as a journalistic broadcaster. “We are very pleased that Sven wants to contribute to this.”
WNL has been definitively admitted to the broadcasting system and will therefore receive more broadcasting time on radio and TV. With the arrival of Kockelmann, WNL On 1 two evenings a week. Jort Kelder and Welmoed Sijtsma now present the program one evening a week for WNL.
