Thijs Kettenis is the new NOS correspondent in Greece. He succeeds Conny Keessen, who will retire on 1 April – after 27 years of reporting for the NOS from Athens.
Thijs Kettenis (42) has been a correspondent for Greece, the Balkans and Cyprus for nine years for, among others, Trouw and AD. During that period, he reported on, among other things, the Greek euro crisis and the refugee problem.
He is an economist; Before settling in Athens, he worked at De Nederlandsche Bank and the European Central Bank. Kettenis: “I find it extremely interesting to make the often complex situation on this edge of Europe transparent to the Dutch public, and it feels like a privilege to be able to do this even more extensively for the NOS via radio and online from 1 April. .”
