Twitter has banned Donald Trump from the social medium for good. The tweets of the American president incite violence, according to a spokesman for Twitter.
On Wednesday, Trump was banned from his most beloved social medium for 12 hours because his tweets did not distance himself enough from the violent mob invading the US Congress. This was seen by Twitter as a violation of the terms and Trump was only allowed back in after he deleted those tweets.
Two new tweets got @realDonaldTrump in trouble again last day. In one he said he would not come to the inauguration, in the other he praised his supporters. The combination of those messages Twitter went too far, certainly in the light of the previous disturbances.
American Patriots
“The 75,000,000 fantastic American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will be holding a HUGE VOTE far into the future,” Trump tweeted. “They will not be scorned or treated unfairly in any way !!!”
This tweet proves, according to Twitter, that Trump has no intention of cooperating in a smooth transition to the new administration, as he promised. “He continues to support, empower and protect those who think he won the election,” Twitter concluded. “His describing some supporters as American Patriots is seen as support for the violence in the Capitol.”
Twitter emphasizes that Trump’s messages on Twitter and beyond are seen by others as support for the mob that invaded the Congress building. For example, there would already be talk of taking over the Capitol and other government buildings again on January 17.
