Two recipes with pork strips. The first recipe is made from pork chops with mushrooms and onions. The second recipe combines pork strips with pasta and vegetables.
Pork strips with mushrooms and onions
Ingredients for 4 people
- 500 g pork steaks cut into strips
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- 3 onions
- 300 g mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 dl stock
- 1 teaspoon of mild curry
- pepper and salt to taste
Preparation method
- Sprinkle salt and pepper on the strips of meat and dust with a little flour. Heat the oil and fry the meat strips briefly, then remove the meat from the pan.
- Peel and slice the onions and wipe the mushrooms with a damp cloth and cut into slices.
- Fry the onion rings until golden brown, then add the meat and mushrooms and cook for 3 minutes while stirring.
- Add the meat stock and curry powder and let the meat simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes.
Can be served with pasta, rice and a fresh salad.
Tips for cooking pasta
Boil the pasta in a large quantity of water, namely: about 1 liter per 100 g of pasta. About 1 teaspoon of salt is needed per liter of water for a good taste. Stir the pasta regularly to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan and to obtain an even result. The temperature should remain as constant as possible after putting the pasta in the boiling water. To avoid overcooking you can, if necessary, place the lid on the pan at an angle.
Pasta with pork strips and vegetables
Ingredients for 4 people
- 350 g pasta, such as shells or farfalle
- 250-300 g pork tenderloin or pork steaks cut into strips
- 250 g mushrooms
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 2 courgettes
- 2 dl stock
- 100 g spicy grated cheese
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Preparation method
- Cook the pasta al dente in water to which salt has been added for about 10 minutes. Then drain the pasta.
- Fry the meat strips briefly on high heat, reduce the heat and let the meat simmer slowly for 5 minutes. Then remove the meat from the pan.
- Chop the onion and rub the mushrooms clean and cut into slices. Peel the carrots, clean the courgettes and roughly grate these vegetables. Heat the oil and let the onion flakes become translucent, then add the mushrooms and let it fry for 5 minutes.
- Add the stock along with the meat and stir in the carrots and courgettes. Season with salt and pepper and let it cook for about 5 minutes. Then stir the pasta through the vegetables.
Divide the food between 4 plates and sprinkle with the grated cheese. This dish can be served with a tasty salad.
