
Yade Lauren won the award for best female artist
Singer Yade Lauren and rapper Kevin are the big winners of the FunX Music Awards. The two were both awarded four times, including artist of the year.
The eighth edition of the FunX award show for young musicians was in AFAS Live in Amsterdam. 1250 fans were allowed to attend, who had to sit in a permanent place because of the corona rules.
Yade Lauren, 22, whose music has been streamed tens of millions of times on Spotify, also won an award for best singer. Together with Kevin she also won the prize for the best song (Talk to me, also with rapper Idaly) and the best collaboration.

This year, for the second time in a row, the FunX Power Award was presented, intended for someone who has made an important social contribution to the young target group of the public radio station. That prize went to rapper and presenter Défano Holwijn this year, because of his initiative FC Curfew, an online program for young people.
Other prizes were the hip-hop group Broederliefde, DJ Wef, Josylvio and Lijpe. There were performances by Boef and Numidia Cho, among others.
