A 28-year-old man from Yala tested positive for drug use after crashing his car into 12 electricity poles on Lat Phrao 48 alley. He admitted to using methamphetamine with friends near Ramkhamhaeng University shortly before the accident.

The incident, which left one person trapped in the car and caused 10 additional poles to fall, occurred in the Huai Khwang district of Bangkok. Police and utility officials responded to the crash, cutting power lines and lifting the damaged poles.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a .45 caliber magazine handgun with six rounds of ammunition, along with 25 methamphetamine pills and 1.24 grams of ice. The suspect, Asan Naya, claimed he crashed while avoiding another vehicle, with a blood alcohol level of zero but a positive drug test.

Authorities are pressing charges related to traffic laws, gun possession, and drug offenses, noting that Naya has a previous record of drug-related offenses in Yala and Pattani provinces.
