Police oppose bail for 18 suspects in the Icon Group case

Police have opposed bail for 18 suspects linked to “The Icon Group” case and will conduct overnight interrogations over a 48-hour period.

The Criminal Investigation Division obtained evidence and sought arrest warrants for 18 individuals involved in the case, including notable figures such as Mr. Waratpol Warathayaworakool (Boss Paul), Mr. Yuranat or Sam Phomromontree, Ms. Pitchaya or Min Watthanamontri, and Mr. Kant Kantathavorn, who hold executive roles at The Icon Group, along with various executives being charged with public fraud and inputting false information into the computer system, as previously reported.

On October 16, 2024, at 7:00 PM, it was reported that police intend to conduct interrogations throughout the night for 48 hours before presenting the suspects to the Ratchada Criminal Court, opposing bail due to concerns that there are many additional victims.

Moreover, Pol. Lt. Gen. Montree Techakan, head of the Crime Suppression Division, has instructed facility management personnel to prepare the interrogation location and to clean the holding cells at the Crime Suppression Division to accommodate the anticipated large number of suspects to be detained that night.
