On September 25, 2024, lawyer Sitra Biyabunget, also known as lawyer Tum, submitted a letter to the Attorney General requesting an investigation into the deputy attorney general’s alleged inappropriate relationship with Eva, the ex-wife of Chinese businessman Ken.
The lawyer claimed there was evidence of a romantic relationship starting in May, prior to her divorce on July 9. He provided photographs showing the two embracing and stated there were witnesses confirming the relationship was planned, despite warnings that Eva was married. Moreover, he asserted the deputy attorney general provided Eva with a white BMW Z4, which was registered under another person’s name but is commonly known to belong to him.
Lawyer Tum requested the Attorney General and the Attorney General’s Committee to investigate and impose severe disciplinary action if wrongdoing is found.
In addition, lawyer Tum stated he plans to use this evidence in a civil lawsuit against the two involved, seeking damages, and as evidence in a theft case to demonstrate Eva’s inappropriate behavior.
After receiving the complaint letter, spokesperson for the Attorney General’s Office, Prayuth Petchkhun, along with other officials, held a press conference. Prayuth emphasized the seriousness of the issue and assured that the Attorney General’s Office would take it seriously and keep the complainants informed of the progress. The inquiry process will commence, though no timeline was shared for the investigation’s duration.
