On September 25, 2024, there was significant activity outside “Mae Tak” and “Pah Beer” gold shops on Hathairat Road as customers from various places flocked to sell their gold back. The shop opened at 10:00 AM, and due to the overwhelming response, they set up tents for customers to wait in line.
After the first day saw a queue exceeding 200, the shop expanded the queue to accommodate 300 customers this day, providing tickets until 4:00 PM, with an expectation to finish serving by around 7:00 PM.
Traffic congestion was reported on Hathairat Road, extending about 500 meters due to numerous parked vehicles in the leftmost lane.
