First group of 18 suspects from “The Icon Group” arrives at CID

The police have successfully brought in the first group of 18 suspects related to “The Icon Group” to the Central Investigation Bureau and have opposed their bail requests.

On October 16, 2024, it was reported that after obtaining arrest warrants for the 18 suspects involved with “The Icon Group” on two charges: fraud and violations of the Computer Crimes Act, the Central Investigation Bureau has been bringing them in for further questioning.

Furthermore, the Central Investigation Bureau’s Facebook page confirmed the completion of arrests, stating, “21:10 CIB confirms the arrest of all 18 warrants for suspects of The ICON GROUP.” Among the last to be apprehended was Mr. Klot Sathanant or Boss Peter, and it was noted this was the first group of arrests, with expectations for further arrests in a second group.

As of 23:58, it was reported that all 18 suspects of the first group had been brought to the Central Investigation Bureau, with Ms. Yasikarn Ekchitsanupong, known as Boss Soda, being the last to arrive.

The authorities explained the lack of media presence regarding “Boss Min” when entering; she was one of the first at the bureau and no live coverage was available at that time, which led to misconceptions about preferential treatment compared to other suspects.

Currently, the investigators have denied bail for all 18 suspects, who will be questioned and held in separate holding cells for males and females. Further updates will be provided as the situation progresses.
