Making music is great fun, but sometimes the theory and reading the music is difficult. That’s why there are mnemonics for the music! To play a musical instrument you must of course be able to read notes, but that staff is quite difficult to put together. And also the theory of music often has difficult rules and these have to be learned. Then mnemonics help!

If a note is preceded by a flat (b), the note is lowered by a semitone, because flats live underground (low). A sharp (#) raises the pitch by a semitone, because the church has a cross (high).

The difference between a whole rest depends and a half rest lies
There is always confusion with the rest. There is a block near the center line on the staff, but when is it below it and when is it above it. A whole rest has been hanged (so dead) and rests for a long time, because he is dead. Half the rest is on a hard mattress, so rest briefly.
The difference between a full rest and a half rest
This is the story: Such peace is a bit like a hat. Such a hat from the past that is now sometimes worn by the bride gum at weddings. Now, wearing such a hat, a sympathetic man walks down the shopping street. Does he meet a beautiful lady there. He greets her by lifting his hat (half rest), but a little later he sees an even more beautiful lady there. He wants to make an impression on this and takes a graceful gesture off his hat completely, upside down, and then back on his head. (hat upside down -> rest)
