The final of The Voice in 2020
The Public Prosecution Service calls on people who may be victims of a criminal offense The Voice of Holland to report to the police and, if necessary, file a report. People who have witnessed a possible criminal offense are also asked to come forward.
“The interest of victims is paramount to us,” says the Public Prosecution Service. “Investigations are carried out by specialized detectives and public prosecutors. They form an expert team and assist victims. Obtaining evidence in sex crime cases is often difficult and often time-consuming, but it is certainly not impossible.”
The Public Prosecution Service points out that victims who do not yet want to contact the police can also call the Center for Sexual Violence (CSG), anonymously if necessary. If a victim so wishes, the CSG can contact the vice squad to make a report.
At least three reports have already been received. One for assault against band leader Jeroen Rietbergen and two against Ali B, who acts as a coach in the program. RTL stopped the program after it became known that the BNNVARA program ANGRY received information that Rietbergen had engaged in sexually transgressive behavior with women. It was agreed with producer ITV that an independent investigation into the allegations would be opened.
