The owner of a Pit Bull named “Poy Kai,” responsible for the fatal attack on a 67-year-old woman, is seeking a new home for the dog, stating she can no longer care for it due to its behavioral issues, including prior biting incidents.
The recent incident involved Ms. Daeng Thamthanta from Pathum Thani, who was severely injured by the two-year-old male American Pit Bull, “Poy Kai,” resulting in her death. The attack occurred in Samkhok district, Pathum Thani.
On September 25, reporters investigated the situation at the home of the dog’s owner, Ms. Kiatikhan Tanla, 48. She mentioned that there have been inquiries from individuals and the Watchdog Thailand foundation about taking care of “Poy Kai.” If no one adopts the dog, the foundation is prepared to take it in, and she is willing to let go of the dog, despite having cared for it as family. She noted that the dog had only been let outside in the past two weeks and speculated that stress could have contributed to its aggressive behavior.
Furthermore, it was reported that “Poy Kai” exhibited aggressive behavior, including biting family members, leading to the incident involving Ms. Daeng.
Law enforcement has yet to press charges against Ms. Kiatikhan, as she is a relative of the victim, but further questioning will take place after the funeral.
