Salmon lasagna & variants: easy, delicious & fast
You come home late at night after work and are very hungry, but you don’t have much time to cook? Or do you not like to cook but do you like to eat something tasty? Then this recipe is definitely for you!
What is lasagna
It is an Italian pasta dish that is built up in layers. A bottom of lasagne leaves is laid, a few ingredients are added, a layer of lasagne is put back and so on. The whole is baked in an oven.
Requirements (for 3 to 4 people)
- 9 lasagna leaves
- 200 grams (cream) spinach
- 150 grams of mozzarella
- 400 grams of smoked salmon
- 1 can of peeled tomatoes (400 grams)
- 1 dl cream if no cream spinach
- 150 to 200 grams of grated cheese (gratin / mozzarella)
Place 3 lasagne leaves in a heat-resistant dish (best rectangular). Cut the mozzarella into slices and divide them over the spread lasagne leaves. Take half of the salmon and spread it over the whole as well. If the salmon is not already sliced, cut it first. This is the first layer.
As the second layer you start again with 3 lasagne sheets. Then put all the spinach on top and the rest of the salmon.
The third layer starts again with 3 lasagne sheets. Pour the cream over this, add the peeled tomatoes and sprinkle the grated cheese all over the surface.
Herbs are not necessary with this variant, because the smoked salmon is quite salty in itself. They can be added to taste.
Bake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C for 30 minutes.
Lasagna is very easy to make, so it is fun to experiment with new ingredients yourself. For example, you can replace the salmon with minced pork. This gives a completely different taste, but the basic ingredients remain the same. To make the lasagna even healthier you can add vegetables.
Some ingredients you can add
- Fresh tomatoes
- And so on…
Note: with lasagne dishes it is important that enough moisture is used. The moisture is necessary to absorb into the paste. Otherwise the pasta will remain hard or dry out during baking. It doesn’t hurt to add moisture to the top layer (such as passata or cream). This then naturally moistens the other layers.
