Most people know that eating fruit is healthy. However, the majority still wonder what it is actually good for. Most fruits naturally have healing powers. Not only are strawberries terribly tasty, together with the blueberry, the strawberry is one of the healthiest fruit. The strawberry helps to purify the body and is able to heal various ailments.
The strawberry
The strawberry plant has been around for more than 50 million years, but it was not until the 14th century that these wild strawberry plants were planted in the gardens. At the time, they were mainly used as an ornamental plant and for medical purposes. The strawberry as we know it today is only about 200 years old and comes from America. Wild strawberries, or wild strawberries, have a fuller flavor, but also much smaller and the plant is less productive. Today’s strawberries are larger and thicker by means of cross-breeding. The healing power of the strawberry has decreased with this, but can still be compared with the original wild strawberry.
Its healing power
The strawberry contains essential oil, fruit sugars, pectin, anthocyanin glyosides and sulfur-like substances. In addition to vitamins C, B1, B2 and A, it also contains calcium, sodium, iron, phosphorus, sulfur, silica and iodine. This makes the strawberry strong blood cleansing, light laxative and constructive. It has a stimulating effect on the kidneys, liver and metabolism and can be used as a strawberry cure for arthritis, rheumatism and gout. The strawberry has a strengthening effect on the heart and vessels. It also lowers blood pressure and can be used as a remedy for anemia and circulation problems.
Not only the fruit contains healing properties, but also the leaves. So it can be used for making tea.
The strawberry can therefore be used for a wide spectrum of ailments and diseases. Strawberries are also said to increase libido.
Tips
Whitening teeth
The strawberry whitens your teeth and prevents tartar. When you eat the strawberries, it is important that you chew them well. This way your mouth is cleaned well and it has a better effect on your teeth. You can also crush the strawberries and soak a cotton ball in the juice. You keep these on your teeth for a few minutes, after which you rub them clean with another cotton ball, soaked in a mix of lukewarm water and a pinch of baking soda bicarbonate. If you repeat this at least 3 times a day, it seems to match an expensive beautician whitening treatment!
