Bang Sue police interrogate ‘ex-boxer’s wife’ to find husband

On October 4, 2024, Bang Sue police detained “Ms. Pojjanee,” 42, the wife of former boxer “Mr. Santi,” 39, who had previously fled from a police warrant for burglary after reportedly threatening neighbors with a gun.

The situation escalated when Ms. Pojjanee, in distress over her husband being chased by authorities, attempted to harm herself with a firearm but later surrendered to the police after escaping into the woods. They received medical care at the Police Hospital for injuries.

At noon, after being treated for a foot injury caused by broken glass, police transported her for initial questioning about her husband’s actions and any involvement she may have had. Despite her visible fatigue and the medical attention she required, she did not display any emotional response during transport.

Upon arrival at Bang Sue police station around 12:45 PM, police assisted her with a wheelchair into the interrogation room, avoiding media exposure as they sought further details about the incident and her husband’s evasion.

High-ranking police officials, including Maj. Gen. Nopasin Poonsawat, have joined in overseeing the investigation and will provide updates as they progress.
