“Paa Beer” requests a chance to explain that there was no intention to scam customers selling gold online and asserts responsible management of customers.

On October 1, 2024, at 9:40 AM, at the Central Police Investigation Bureau, Police Major General Witiya Siriprasertphap ordered the arrest of two suspects, Ms. Korakhanok Suwanbut and Mr. Kanthapol Rueangaram, for selling substandard gold online. They were taken to the Ratchada Criminal Court where a request was filed to deny their bail due to the case’s many victims and concerns over possible flight.

Over 100 journalists awaited their arrival, capturing Ms. Korakhanok in a green and pink outfit appearing exhausted, and Mr. Kanthapol in a white t-shirt as they were led to a police vehicle.

After about 8 hours of questioning, Mr. Kanthapol stated they had no intentions of fleeing, committed to caring for their clients, and wanted the chance to present their truth before being judged. He emphasized not hiding any assets and believes they have not committed any crime.

Ms. Korakhanok showed signs of stress, requiring anxiety relief from her relatives while being held. They received chicken rice meals being detained along with another female suspect.
