“Big Tai – Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanthaphet” has officially been appointed as the 15th National Police Chief.

On October 7, 2024, at 14:30, Prime Minister Ms. Phaethongtharn Shinawatra presided over the 8th meeting of the Police Commission (Pol. Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanthaphet, known as “Big Tai”, hails from Ratchaburi, born on December 8, 1965. He is 58 years old, having completed his secondary education at Benjamamarachuthit School in Ratchaburi. He was a student at the 25th batch of the Preparatory Military School, and he graduated from the 41st batch of the Royal Police Academy alongside other prominent figures. He first served in the police force as a Deputy Inspector at Rayong Police Station, later climbing the ranks and holding various significant positions before becoming the National Police Chief.

During his tenure as a regional chief, he was responsible for major criminal prevention efforts and had a significant role in combating illegal logging and drug trafficking.
