“Big Tua reassures on Di Icon audio clip: We’ll catch the angel”

“Big Turtle” reassures that he is not concerned about the investigation of the audio clips involving the “Di Icon Group.” He stated that if evidence is found, they will apprehend the “angels” involved in extortion, emphasizing that all operations are transparent and subject to oversight.

On October 21, at 11:00 AM, Deputy Police Commissioner Pol. Lt. Gen. Jaroonkiat Pankaew held a meeting at the Anti-Corruption Division regarding the investigation of the secret audio clips linked to well-known singers and politicians allegedly soliciting money from a businessman. A driver for the businessman provided police with a second phone containing additional evidence.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Jaroonkiat reported that two significant matters were discussed: first, collaboration among the Anti-Corruption Commission, the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), and the Anti-Corruption Division about recent incidents involving a school bus fire and possible state officials’ negligence. This marks their third meeting regarding the investigation as officials had failed to properly inspect the school bus and gas cylinder standards.

The second matter was the ongoing investigation into the “Di Icon Group” case, which is being expedited under the directives of Police Chief Pol. Gen. Kittiratt Phanphet and Pol. Lt. Gen. Jiraphop Puridej, committed to ensuring transparency and fairness in their actions. He noted that despite the mixed authenticity of information sourced from social media and community groups, he refrains from making premature accusations and prefers to let officers carry out their investigation first.

As for the two phones belonging to the businessman, data has already been extracted from the first phone, while the process for the second is underway. Police aim to negotiate with the businessman for further inquiries, but he remains in quarantine until October 23. The police are exploring expedited measures for this investigation.

When asked if he would feel pressured if the audio clips implicated politicians, Pol. Lt. Gen. Jaroonkiat stated that everything depends on evidence and facts. During the meeting, audio clips were played for officials from the Anti-Money Laundering Office and Anti-Corruption Commission to assure them of the police’s commitment to transparency. He reaffirmed that if anyone is implicated, there would be no avoidance of accountability.

“I am not worried because we will catch the angels,” stated Pol. Lt. Gen. Jaroonkiat.
