The Central Investigation Police executed an arrest warrant for “Boss Paul” at the office of the Consumer Protection Board. The warrant is connected to major executives in the entertainment industry as well.
On October 16, 2024, at 3:30 PM, Police General Akanadej Pimonsri ordered Police General Chiraphop Puridej and officers from the Bureau of Special Investigation to gather evidence and request an arrest warrant from the Criminal Court for Mr. Waratpol Waratyawarakul, also known as Boss Paul, who is the CEO of The Icon Group. The charges include fraud and introducing false information into a computer system.
Subsequently, after the court approved the arrest warrant for Mr. Waratpol and associates, the police proceeded with the arrest under the command of Police General Akanadej Pimonsri and Police General Chiraphop Puridej. Police Colonel Suriyasad Jirawatsak, from the Bureau of Special Investigation, led the operation to apprehend Mr. Waratpol while he was reporting to the Consumer Protection Board and informed him of the charges before taking him to the Central Investigation Bureau.
