The Patumthani police, in cooperation with the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, arrested a couple involved in drug trafficking from the Northeast of Thailand. The couple was caught transporting a total of 550,000 methamphetamine and ecstasy pills from the Mekong River border, hiding them in an Isuzu Mu-7 vehicle at a construction worker camp in Muak Lek, Saraburi, where they were preparing to deliver the drugs to a central region dealer.
At a press conference on October 19, Police Commander Yutthana Jonkhun announced the arrest of Theerawat “Mos” Kaewmool, 30, and Natalie “Na” Santhienglo, 26, in possession of 280,000 meth pills, 270,000 ecstasy pills, and 4 kg of unidentified green powder. The arrest occurred at the aforementioned location.
Commander Yutthana explained that this operation followed an earlier arrest on October 10 of Samwang “Tor” Meechoei, where 742,160 meth pills and 9 kg of ice were seized. During questioning, Samwang revealed connections to a drug trafficking network in the Northeast, which had several accomplices who transported drugs from the Mekong border to central Thailand.
Upon gaining information about this drug trafficking network, investigators from Patumthani collaborated with the Narcotics Suppression Bureau to track and plan the arrest of the couple, who admitted to being part of a network transporting drugs to clients in the central region. A third accomplice managed to escape during the arrest, and efforts are underway to apprehend them.
