Dashcam footage of Tik Shiro confirms N.2 police chief’s claim

The case involving Thai artist Tik Shiro, 63, and a fatal crash remains unclear. His black Hyundai van hit a motorcycle owned by three siblings, resulting in one death and one serious injury. The incident occurred on October 10, 2024, on the Tepharak Bridge in Bang Sue, Bangkok, where the victims were collecting fallen water bottles.

Details reveal Tik was driving his van registered under Bangkok license plate HM 7999 when he collided with a black Honda Click motorcycle. The collision resulted in the death of 28-year-old Tianporn Siwaprapitak and serious injuries to her 21-year-old brother, Jakrapak. The police are currently gathering evidence from surveillance cameras installed at the front and back of Tik’s vehicle.

On October 11, at Khan Na Yao station, police conducted an investigation into the crash’s circumstances, confirming that Tik’s van displayed damage on the front left and the hood, while the motorcycle was severely damaged on the right and rear. The officer in charge did not disclose plans to summon Tik for questioning after blood test results are available.

Police Colonel Naretn Khreungsanook stated that the investigation is ongoing, and evidence from the surveillance footage would be analyzed to determine fault. The injured Jakrapak remains hospitalized at Phumbol Hospital.

Police Major General Atthapol Anusit confirmed that Tik has already been questioned, but details of the inquiry have not been made public. Alcohol level results are pending from the hospital, and whether charges will be pressed depends on the evidence gathered.

The family of deceased Tianporn is preparing for her funeral, as confirmed by her father, Jirawat Siwaprapitak. Meanwhile, it has been reported that prior to the collision, Tik was driving in the left lane when he struck the motorcycle, which was parked on the left shoulder of the road.
