Famous lawyers team up for complaint against The Icon, witness claims “Boss” paid 10 billion

On October 15, 2024, well-known lawyers led by Mr. Sathira Bhiabungkeart (nickname: Lawyer Thum), Mr. Decha Kittiwitthayanon (Lawyer Decha), and others, joined over 100 victims to file a complaint against “The iCon Group” at the Central Investigation Bureau. They accuse the company’s executives of engaging in fraudulent activities related to loan schemes, computer crimes, and money laundering.

Lawyer Thum stated their collective effort aims to help citizens, especially since many victims may be apprehensive about possible asset hiding by the accused. This gathering of victims is intended to ensure they receive compensation and to maintain oversight throughout the legal process.

He expressed concern over the activities of the company’s management, particularly following public appearances by its leader, Mr. Paul, who has displayed dramatic behavior but failed to take accountability. He urged those associated with the organization to cooperate with law enforcement to avoid being implicated.

Lawyer Decha reported threats from the company against witnesses, suggesting that they might retaliate against anyone who speaks up. He challenged the company’s tactics, questioning who would truly face legal consequences if they were to take action against victims and lawyers.

Furthermore, Mr. Ekapop revealed that critical information provided by a whistleblower indicated that substantial payments—amounting to tens of billions of baht—had allegedly been made to facilitate corrupt dealings since 2020. These funds were supposedly distributed to four major organizations through an intermediary.
