Madam Gook Kai, wife of Big Tor, probes into gambling web links

Madam Gookkai, wife of Police General TorSak Sukwimon, Chief of the Royal Thai Police, provided testimony to the Police Complaint Board regarding ties to gambling money. The Chairman of the Board confirmed that all areas of suspicion will be investigated.

This follows allegations made by attorney Ysit Rabiangbeau, regarding a bribery scheme and the financial routes of grey businesses, implicating police officers from the Special Operations Police Bureau and also mentioning Police General TorSak. A formal complaint has been lodged with the Board for investigation.

On September 26, 2024, the Police Complaint Board, chaired by Police Lieutenant General SorSak Yenprem, met to question a key witness with financial connections to gambling websites who has close ties to Police General TorSak.

Police Lieutenant General SorSak stated that they received a written explanation from the witness the day before. He believes that the witness providing in-person testimony would be beneficial for clarifying suspicions raised.

The board will question all aspects, including financial trails and property in the UK, based on accusations made. The key witness is expected to attend as scheduled without any request to postpone or cancel.

Previously, Police Lieutenant Colonel Surakool Thansiridamrong and Police Sergeant Apichat Suwanphet did not appear for questioning regarding their alleged involvement in the gambling and protection rackets. Police Lieutenant General SorSak mentioned that the investigation could continue based on the written explanations submitted by them.

Later, at around 9:45 AM, Madam Gookkai arrived to meet the Police Complaint Board, expressing confidence in providing clear explanations regarding the allegations. She indicated further information would be shared with the media post-testimony.
