The deputy spokesperson of the Department of Corrections reported that ‘Ma Tak’ and ‘Pa Beer’ spent their second night in custody, experiencing some stress, though they are receiving psychological support. They are held on charges of fraud, among others, with four total accusations against them.
On October 3, 2024, the acting director of the Central Women’s Correctional Institution, Mrs. Kanokwanna Jiucheupan, noted that Ma Tak (real name: Ms. Korakhanok Suwanbut) was restless during the night, while Pa Beer (real name: Mr. Kanthapol Ruangaram) seemed to manage better, experiencing less stress. They both have access to a psychologist for support at this early stage.
Ms. Suwanbut has also spoken with her lawyer online, though Mr. Ruangaram has yet to meet with his counsel.
