Nara claims Tak’s mom hired her to sell clothes, then gold was found

“Nara Krep Ka Toey” has claimed that “Mae Tak” hired her to livestream selling clothes to help flood victims, but ended up selling gold instead, which was sourced from the back of the shop rather than being displayed products. Nara expressed concern about potentially returning to prison.

On October 7, 2024, Nara Krep Ka Toey, a 25-year-old influencer, reported to the police to clear her name regarding her participation in a livestream selling gold alongside Mae Tak and other associates. She brought along documents of their agreement made via chat. Nara stated that she had previously worked with Mae Tak for 3-4 years and had been contacted for a job following her release from prison, with an offer of 120,000 Baht for a livestream selling soap.

Later, Mae Tak approached her again, offering 80,000 Baht to livestream selling clothes for flood relief, which Nara accepted without asking further details, assuming there would be no issues. Upon arrival, however, she was asked to sell gold instead, and upon inspection, she found that the gold was indeed real, although it was not the promotional display items. Four other administrators were present at the livestream, the whereabouts of whom she did not know. She also noted she extended the livestream duration to a total of 3 hours.

Nara clarified that she lacked funds for legal representation but provided documentation to support her claim of being merely a hired seller, asserting she had not received any payments beyond her agreed fee. Currently, her main worry is the possibility of returning to prison, as she aims to repay her debts from a previous case. Furthermore, she mentioned supporting Mae Tak and another associate during their initial five days in prison by providing them with meals.

“I participated in the livestream, leading to victims. I sincerely apologize,” Nara Krep Ka Toey stated.

Later that same day, Nak Chali, along with Kaem Boom and Mae Lee, arrived to speak with police to assert their innocence regarding their prior involvement in livestreams with Mae Tak and the other suspect associated with the online gold fraud case.
