Poh Tapselad: Two bank employees injured in motorcycle crash

A horrific accident occurred on a major road at the Phajarnukool intersection when a P.O. bus collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of two bank employees. The incident happened around 8:30 AM on September 26 at Ratchadaphisek Road in Bangkok. Both victims were staff members of TTB Bank, traveling to work on the motorcycle when they were hit. Notably, only one helmet was found at the scene.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that the deceased were identified as 34-year-old Pimnipha Srisuwan and 31-year-old Manatsanan Noi-iam, who suffered severe injuries including multiple fractures and head trauma. The motorcycle, a Honda Click, was found lying on the road after being struck by the bus. The bus driver, 55-year-old Jamnong Bunchan, stated he did not see the motorcycle until he heard a noise suggesting he had run over something.

Authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area to determine the circumstances leading to the accident. The police noted that both women were colleagues at TTB Bank, and they were attempting to make a U-turn when they were struck by the bus traveling in the adjacent lane.

Deputy Investigator Police Lieutenant Colonel Jaturapit Chanuraith confirmed that an investigation is underway, and the bodies will be taken to the police hospital for autopsy. Their families are being contacted to arrange for funeral services.
