Police officer seeks help after refinancing car loan issues in Nakhon Ratchasima

A couple who owns a mobile phone repair shop in Nakhon Ratchasima filed a complaint with the Central Investigation Bureau, accusing a police officer, known as “Rong”, of failing to make payments on a car refinance loan they co-signed. This has led to the foreclosure of their home and 12-rai plot of land. The couple, Hacha and Parichat, were friends with the officer and agreed to co-sign the loan of 400,000 THB in 2013, trusting his stable job. However, since 2015, the officer has not made any payments, resulting in a total debt of 1.2 million THB including interest.

By 2022, the couple received notice from the court to seize their home due to the unpaid debt. At present, they are facing significant hardship as they have been forced to rent a house. Their family of five has been displaced, and they feel they have been treated unfairly since they are not the debtors. The officer continues to live normally, while they have sought help from his superiors without resolution. The couple plans to file another complaint as their land is set to be auctioned on October 3, worsening their situation further.

The police are currently investigating the matter after taking the couple’s statement as they seek justice.
