Police reveal Boss Paul seeks to add testimony; denies guilt

The Deputy Commander of the Central Investigation Police announced that “Boss Paul” still wishes to provide additional testimony as permitted by law, while the 17 other suspects continue to deny the charges but provide useful details.

On October 17, 2024, it was reported that after questioning the 17 suspects was completed, they were transported to the Ratchada Criminal Court. Reports indicate that Mr. Waratpol Waratyawarakul, also known as Boss Paul, has not yet finished his interrogation and is expected to be sent to court the next day.

Police Major General Suwat Sangnum provided updates on the case, stating that the 17 suspects were interrogated and subsequently detained, while one suspect, Boss Paul, is still being questioned. Both the suspect and his lawyer intend to fight the case, which is their right. All suspects have denied the charges but have provided some beneficial information.

Boss Paul expressed a desire to provide further details during questioning, which is also his legal right. The police confirmed they asked all necessary questions, and he wanted to elaborate beyond what was asked, which is permissible.

When asked about additional arrest warrants, the police indicated that it depends on the gathering of evidence and further testimony from victims and witnesses. They will consider any links to other individuals involved in the case. Details regarding the confiscated assets are withheld for now.

Regarding whether Boss Paul’s wife will be implicated in future warrants or summons, police stated that the investigation is ongoing. Police also commented on the lawyer’s decision not to seek bail, saying, “He doesn’t want to apply; we don’t know why.” The police oppose bail, and the final decision will be made by the court.
