Ranong opens “The Icon” incident reporting center as victims report over 4 million loss

Ranong has established a central reporting center for victims of The iCon Group. So far, 11 victims have reported damages totaling over 4 million baht.

On October 18, 2024, Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panphet, the national police chief, held a video conference with police commands nationwide to set up a grievance center concerning The iCon Group in Bangkok and 76 provinces.

In Ranong, Pol. Maj. Gen. Chidpong Chiwaprich, the Ranong Provincial Police Chief, and Pol. Lt. Col. Thawatchai Soonjaew, the head of Muang Ranong police, announced the center’s opening for local victims of the direct-selling company to file complaints at Muang Ranong police station, where dedicated personnel are available to assist them.

Currently, Ranong has reported 11 victims with damages summarizing over 4 million baht, while 16 more are in contact, out of a total 360,000 victims nationwide with damages surpassing 10 billion baht.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Chidpong added that he believes there are more victims in Ranong, especially among supervisors and distributors, who have not yet come forward. Victims seeking more information can call 191, and those unable to visit the station—particularly the elderly—can have officials come to their homes for assistance, ensuring justice for all involved.
