SX 2024: 5th annual event for a better world

On Friday, September 27, 2024, the “Sustainability Expo 2024” (SX 2024) will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. This is the fifth year of the largest sustainability expo in the ASEAN region.

The event is organized by five key organizations including Frasers Property (Thailand), PTT Public Company Limited, SCG, Thai Beverage, and Thai Union Group, along with the Thailand Supply Chain Network (TSCN).

The expo aims to promote sustainable development through economic, social, and environmental balance, under the theme “Good Balance Better World.”

The article emphasizes the urgency of addressing environmental issues due to over-exploitation of resources over the past 50 years, leading to severe weather conditions in Thailand.

Thanks are given to the United Nations for the 2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Thai government for its commitment to implementing these goals, highlighting the crucial role of the private sector and civil society in moving towards sustainability.

The expo will run until October 6 and will occupy over 70,000 square meters divided into ten zones, including areas showcasing sustainable organizations and innovations.

Notably, the SX Food Festival will feature healthy and environmentally-friendly food options. Other attractions include a Kids Zone, a sustainable marketplace, and an area for high-quality second-hand goods benefiting disadvantaged individuals.

The official opening ceremony is set for September 27 at 2 PM, led by Dr. Sumeth Tantivejakul from the Chaipattana Foundation, with an aim to surpass last year’s record attendance of over 400,000 visitors.
