Tik Shiro faces five serious charges in Mai Ji incident

Famous singer “Tick Shiro” and his wife attended the funeral of “Nong Meiji” but declined to give media interviews. His wife also posted a photo of him in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask, explaining that he is not avoiding legal consequences but is seeking medical treatment. Police have charged Tick Shiro with five offenses due to a blood alcohol level of 106 mg%. He was granted temporary bail following this incident.

Tick Shiro faces charges related to a fatal accident on October 15, where he allegedly crashed his Hyundai van into 28-year-old Teanporn Siwaprapitak (“Nong Meiji”), resulting in her death and leaving her brother critically injured. The funeral took place at Wat Phra Si Mahathat in Bangkok, attended by family, friends, and fellow artists in a somber atmosphere.

During the funeral, Tick Shiro refrained from speaking to the press, placing incense flowers on Nong Meiji’s coffin with a stoic expression, while her father expressed regret about not being able to meet with the police on October 14 for questioning.

Tick Shiro’s wife shared a message on Facebook stating that he is not avoiding responsibility and hopes that the accident will serve as a lesson for others, urging compassion and understanding regarding the situation.

Police stated that Tick Shiro’s alcohol level exceeded the legal limit, resulting in charges of drunk driving leading to death and serious injury, reckless driving, and property damage. The next steps include negotiations for compensation between the parties involved before proceeding with evidence gathering for a case to be filed against him.

It was reported that the blood alcohol test conducted at Phayathai Nawamin Hospital showed Tick Shiro had a blood alcohol content of 106 mg%, exceeding legal limits.
