Thai musician and drummer, “Tick Shirro,” was involved in a fatal accident on October 10, at around 4:00 AM, when his Hyundai van hit a motorcycle carrying three siblings parked on the Tepharak bridge. The motorcycle’s driver, 21-year-old Jakkrapak, was seriously injured, while his 28-year-old sister, Meiji, was killed. Following the accident, Tick expressed deep remorse and accepted full responsibility. The police did not test for alcohol at the scene because Tick was unable to use the breathalyzer due to chest pain. The results are expected within three days.

At the scene, which was on Sukapiban 5 road, authorities found Meiji deceased and Jakkrapak severely injured, with both being siblings riding a black Honda Click motorcycle. Witnesses reported that while they were stopped to retrieve a dropped bottle, Tick’s van struck them at high speed, resulting in Meiji’s immediate death and Jakkrapak being thrown off the motorcycle.

Tick, who was present at the crash site and cooperated with police, apologized to the parents of the victims. He expressed that at age 63, he had never experienced such a serious accident before. The family of the victims was grieving and questioned why Tick was driving fast, prompting him to bow and plead for forgiveness at the bloodied scene.

During investigations, the parents mentioned that Jakkrapak’s condition remained critical due to fractured skull and cervical bones, and they were trying to move him to a better hospital for specialized care. Tick’s family pledged to cover funeral expenses of 100,000 THB and medical costs linked to Jakkrapak’s treatment.

Police are awaiting the alcohol test results and footage from traffic cameras, while Tick’s account indicates he did not see the motorcycle before crashing. The investigation continues, with the legal implications being assessed based on the findings of the alcohol test.
