The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) announced progress regarding the “The Icon Group” case, revealing that between October 10-19, 2024, 2,702 victims have been interviewed, with damages exceeding 933 million baht.
On October 19, 2024, the CIB’s Consumer Protection Division reported that on October 18, 2024, 345 victims were interviewed, totaling 99.7 million baht in damages. Cumulatively, from October 10-19, the total rises to 2,702 victims with damages amounting to over 933 million baht.
The National Police Operations Center (NPOC) summarized complaint data from various police departments on October 18, 2024, showing 1,881 victims reported, resulting in damages of about 424 million baht. The most significant number of complaints came from the Metropolitan Police Bureau with 536 victims, followed by Region 5 with 256, and Region 4 with 221, while Region 9 had the least with 26.
This action follows the National Police Commander’s directive to establish complaint centers for the Icon Group case nationwide on October 18, 2024, to facilitate victims in reporting their cases without hassle, and ensuring no denial of complaints.
