The ?? ordinary ?? sandwich, as far as you can call the sandwich that, sometimes seems to be in the damn corner. Only good for the daily morning and / or afternoon meal. Not too extensive and certainly not for Easter. The special sandwiches complete it.
Feeling
Easter should be a feeling, a new beginning, as it were, which also fits perfectly with the approaching summer. But Easter has in addition to the colors yellow and light green, only a lot of eggs, chocolate, here and there an Easter bunny and especially a lot of food. Maybe not as bad as Christmas, but that has more to do with the season than whether or not it is desired. The emphasis is more than at Christmas on breakfast, lunch ?? or rather brunch. And it is completely decorated with a table based on bread.
That is nice, but the normal ?? bread is often missing from this festively decorated table. You would almost think too ordinary, but nothing could be further from the truth, because there are very tasty types of bread that are many times better and healthier than the buns with all the trimmings. So if you dare to combine different types of bread with a nicely decorated table, you are healthy and you still create that luxurious feeling and cosiness at the table.
Tasty sandwiches
In contrast to the normal Easter table, you can also provide the Easter table with tasty sandwiches that have already been prepared. A nice diversity of delicious bread with accompanying toppings makes the table calmer and gives more space for the entourage for Easter. Of course, add a boiled egg to top it off.
The different types of bread
Of course you can add a nice bun, but make tasty sandwiches with a wide range of bread and, for example, you can also add foreign bread.
Wheat bread (brown bread) comes in all shapes and sizes, such as:
- wheat cut
- wheat floor
- lantern bread
- casino bread
- baguette
Simple recipes
- Great to combine with simple American fillet with a little pepper or green pesto.
- Also top a slice of bread with Hüttenkäse, some chives and some cooked chicken on top.
- Make a slice of bread into a kind of small pizza. Spread tomato sauce, some slices of salami, some rings of green pepper and sprinkle some grated cheese on top. A little olive oil in the frying pan and the sandwich in it. A minute or so on medium heat and ready to serve.
- Combine a slice of mozzarella with a slice of salmon. If desired, add a little green pesto.
Sourdough bread is more or less the forerunner of today’s bread. Leaven is actually sour dough and feels a bit heavier than the bread we normally use in the kitchen. The taste is then a bit fuller. Some types:
- French farmhouse bread
- barley ball
- bus bread
Simple recipes
- This bread is ideal to combine with all kinds of French cheeses.
- But also try a mozzarella combined with tomato and bieslooke.
- A few slices of ox sausage on a thin layer of dressing based on yogurt.
Combine all this with some real ones foreign breads such as:
- bagel (not to be confused with the donut!), but also great for children
- Croissant
- Italian bun
- kaiser bun
- Corn bread
- Turkish bread
Simple recipes
- Turkish bread, for example, is delicious with some hummus, topped with a layer of mixed fresh vegetables (chopped up: eggplant, paprika, onion, tomato, zucchini mixed with a little olive oil and some chili powder).
- The Italian bun is delicious with lamb’s lettuce, pieces of cooked chicken and a little Greek yogurt dressing with some coriander.
- The bagel and croissant goes well with a layer of cream cheese with some salmon or nice and sweet with a full cherry jam or real dark chocolate spread.
Finally
This way, the table can look completely festive with different types of bread. If you place the sandwiches in beautiful large glass dishes (clearly visible), the table is emptier and offers space for a nice decoration of the table.
